How does the free trial work?
Download Ofarwise, open it, and verify your email — your 14-day trial starts right away, with no card required. You get the full Prep and mock-interview experience for the whole trial.
Do I need my own AI key — and does the AI cost extra?
Yes. Ofarwise runs on your own AI provider key — by default a Claude (Anthropic) key, which you add in Settings → API keys. It’s stored encrypted on your device and never sent to us. Your £49.99 pass covers the Ofarwise app itself; the AI usage is billed directly by your provider, so you only ever pay them for what you use — and you’re never locked in.
Which AI providers can I use?
Claude (Anthropic) works out of the box and is what we recommend. If you’d rather use your own, you can point Ofarwise at an OpenAI or other OpenAI-compatible endpoint from Settings.
How do I install Ofarwise on Windows?
Head to the download page, run the installer, and Ofarwise sets up like any other Windows app. For a walk-through from download to your first mock interview, see the setup guide.
How do I pay after the trial?
When you’re ready, upgrade inside the app. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe, and your pass unlocks instantly.
What happens when my 3-month pass ends?
Your pass gives you three months of full access. When it ends, nothing on your computer is deleted — your CV, answers, and saved sessions stay yours — and you can start a new pass anytime from inside the app to carry on where you left off.
Is my data — and my voice — private?
Yes. Ofarwise is local-first: your CV, answers, and practice sessions are stored only on your machine. Mock-interview audio is transcribed right on your device, so your voice recordings are never uploaded to us or any cloud. The only thing that leaves your computer is the prompt sent to your own AI provider to generate questions and answers.
How do updates work?
Ofarwise updates itself. When a new version is available it downloads in the background and installs the next time you restart the app, so you’re always on the latest build.
Is this cheating?
No. Ofarwise is for preparation and rehearsal before the interview — not for use during a live one.
